put my winter wheels on today , to save the wires getting really rusty .

got no more shows or nothing planned for this year so my car now looks poop .

when i get a job im hopefully going to get a set of porker rims for winter as my car just looks chav lol

ow much are you wantin for your wires mate becuase its an unusual feature to have on a polo and think it would look smart. dont say name a price lol cus i dnt know how much theyre worth and wudnt want to say a low price. so name one. cheers.

The Castellets ain't too bad, could'v diamond cut them but then they won't be winters!

So you won't be running the wires if you turn up at prept 2moro?

Mount the wheels without tyres in a lathe and with them spinning use a diamond tip cutting tool to take them back to a mirror finish

- not winter friendly :wink: :lol:

dusnt it just take it bak to bare metal and laqer them. shiny and reflect light in a sort of circle line pattern if you know wot i mean.

Nope, it's very hard to clearcoat bare metal you see. The clear has nothing to 'key in to' as it were.

The RA's on my scirocco were diamond-cut by Spit and Polish:

And I agree that diamond-cut wheels aren't good for winter. The wheels above already have a bit of milky-ness, but it's going to be garaged once I sell my Polo.

How much does it roughly cost for diamond cutting? I imagine it can't be cheap :?

and how do they fit on the original 4 studs when theyve just got a big hole in the middle n center caps? its well weird!! cheers

Splined hubs which bolt to the hubs, and the wire wheels slip on and you tighten the centre cap.

Diamond cutting isn't that expensive, around £35/wheel with the inner bits powder coated. The price & quality will vary with different places though.
