speed up my polo
Is there any point in buying performance parts for a Yreg. 1.0 e polo. exhaust, intake n all that.
Short answer, no.
Modifications to the engine won't make much of a difference in power or grunt unfortunately. An exhaust will probably lose some power, due to the inevitable loss of back pressure in the exhaust. An induction kit won't make much difference either.
If you want to squeeze power of the 1.0L MPI 8v, you could go in to cams, manifolds, de-cats, headwork, etc. But that would cost up to, even over a thousand pounds. That sort of work would make the engine and car evidently less reliable.
With the 1.0L, you have to enjoy the efficiency of the engine, and the ease of driving it.
Other than that, I recommend using the search function to find more information regarding the subject.
