Right when i start my car when i put key in and turn so it on ignition,
1. don't show me that my handbrake is up, basiclly my handbrake light not shown.
2. Petrol sign don't come on either, my petrol is showing its on the white like and petrol light shold be on.
Does anyone know what it could be becuase i want to get these things fixed thanks.

Bulbs, fuses... check the basics 1st.

Handbrake could be the sender-switch at the handbrake.

Well if i want to check the bulbs will i have to take the dash out :O checked the fuses its fine, about the handbrake just checked it now its the switch where the handbrake is under neather will get that sorted but anyone know about the petrol light ? Bdw the petrol light comes on when its on ignition but goes off when petrol goes up but its on the white line so nothing really left,

Could just be a goosed sensor?

It obviously isnt the bulb then, so dont take the clocks out......if you ever do need to take the clocks out, its easy, you just remove the shroud and cowling, that gives you access to unscrew them clocks.

That would prove that the sensor was working and it's just a light problem?

If I turn my car on with the fuel light on, I don't hear any beep. Having said that, it could be a configurable option using VAG-COM, like the alarm beep is :)

While we are on the light situation. Does anyone have a light in their dash stating that their dipped lights are on. I only get a blue light in my dash when I have full beam and thought it was a bit strange not having a green one too.
