MK V getting into gear problem?

Right the car is a Mk V Polo 1.4 8v and the problem is with the clutch all the way down it wont go into gear (as if i aint pushed the clutch down) also when it is finally in gear even when the clutch is on the floor the car moves forward by itself without giving it any throttle. Any suggestions??

You probably need a new clutch fitting mate.

Clutch cable may well need replacing

Well had the car sorted and thought id just let the result known incase it comes in useful for someone in the future. It was the pedal box gremlin rearing its ugly head once again. The bill was completely picked up for by VW so didnt have to pay a penny. Also as a gesture of goodwill the valeted the car. Result!
