Power for my Sony MD player

Post by msmartinwsx »

OK then. In my N reg polo - When I turned the engine off, I could still have the radio on full.

However, I can only do this in my 9n when the engine has been on (and the key in the ignition). As soon as I take the key out - the power is fuzzed :(

Anyways of getting it to stay on?

Also.

Just seen another post that has the same problem but the opposite of me :)

I have changed the yellow/red wires around - no joy :(

Yours is properly wired up at the mo - to do it your way you need to take the constant power wire and feed it into BOTH terminals rather than swap em around. Do you have a multimeter? I don't know which colour is what....

If it's a Sony MD then join the red wire to the same source as the yellow. The Y should be perm 12V+ and the R a switched feed from ign.

Or leave the key in 8)
