Sports Air Filter? Waste of time or good buy?

Post by Mavpolo »

Hi,

Looking at a K&N Panel filter, obvioulsly I`m not gonna be that gullible to the advertised power gains, but are these worth it/any good? Even for the "lifetime" warranty alone? :?

Did have a look at induction kits but saw on some posts that the good sound sacrifices performance considerably.

Ok I'm no speed demon, otherwise i would of bought a proper GTI :D but would like your thoughts on this.

Thanks :-)

I have K&N panels in my 1.0. No real difference. Maybe a bit more response in 3rd but i might be imagining it

If you have MPI on your engine you need 2 panels, so it's expensive btw

BMC all the way. Definately a noticable increase, and the noise it makes is fantastic :D

It is indeed, and its a very good price on that site!

Youll need a silicone bend and perhaps some better ducting, but totally a DIY fit. A sunday morning jobby :D
