LUK vs SACHS Clutch kit
I did investigate changing the clutch, but most garages suggested changing the cable first. I'm sure at some point in the future I'll change the clutch but its working well enough for now, just occasionally truculant
A new clutch cable was about £25-30 from Liverpool VW, obviously any dealer should be able to get one. Don't go to Euro Car Parts because the cable part is a generic copy and whatever I did I wasn't able to get it to fit (it doesn't include the spring the VW part includes).

Womble is correct about trying the cable first, but seeing you all ready have the clutch kit, try one first then the other.womble68 wrote:I did investigate changing the clutch, but most garages suggested changing the cable first.
