Si_GTi's winter progress thread... 2007/08!

Post by Si_GTi »

Remember when I did something similar to this last year? linky

Well here we go again...

This time I have some plans in mind for exterior (bodywork) and interior plus lighting and winter wheels, in time for Ultimate Dubs or thereabouts.

We'll start with winter wheels. These went on, on Tuesday this week, after problems with the previous (and thankfully temporary) Fox alloys.

Yes, I'm once again a fully-fledged member of the G60 Steels club  but no gloss black goodness this time round.

Can't beat a nice set of G60's 8)

Mine would look good if the centre caps were on

Chris, get another one - you know it doesn't make sense but do it anyway

Other plans include, some unique aero wiper upgrades (not saying any more until pay day at end of month), Kamei debadged front grille plus extended bonnet (to fill half-moon recess), and possibly a leather retrim at some point.

The BBS RM are being stripped and rebuilt with shiny new parts too.

From last year's list  I still have those new interior grab handles to fit plus the Philips high-beam bulbs. Haven't had a reason to have the front bumper off this year so the bulbs haven't gone in yet. But with winter upon us...

Sold the black G60 steels to sally_healey and she is running them as winter wheels on her silver 6n2 GTi 8)

Should arrange a joint mini-photoshoot with hers and mine GTis shouldn't I!
