Was looking into that also. ma mate at work got a new turbo intake to his S3 and told me to get it done. What kinda difference did it make? Power? Hearing the turbo spool up? and what was it like to fit it?

Its about increasing the breathing ability of the engine, its like putitng the PD intake and filter on, it wont give massive gains, but it will help the engine to breathe.

The turbo and DV return noise is louder now aswell as a result.

The difference in the car is more noticable than the PD intake, and with your rempa certainly wont hurt.

Could be an opition to get it then. Did u fit it yerself then??

Had a shot of a Ibiza Cupra a few weeks ago and it had a Forge Splitter DV, does anyone know if you fit one of these to your car it would bring up a warning light as some air is goin to vent?

Aye fitted it myself, bit awkward, but no too bad, there is an allen bolt you need to remove to get the factory inlet off the turbo, and i needed to slack the metal water pipe that runs around the head to get enough room.

Easier to jack the car up to get the bolt and clips from underneath as well as the top.

Heard mixed reports about the Split-R valve, some say it throws fault codes, some say it doesnt.

I wouldnt fit one as i hate the woosh from an atmospheric dump valve.

the engine note is louder, but it changes it, it sounds more grunt

think back to when your car was on the standard map, then when you got it mapped - it sounds kinda like..... "grumpier" lol

kenny - Do both!! haha

It has no effect on the engine noise, it cant do, all the silencing is done by the exhaust which is totally unchanged

It makes the turbo spooling noise a wee bit louder, and you can hear the DV working a bit more, but that all.

Those are the two hoses i fitted.

i had been looking in to the same 2 hoses andy that are made by apr tuned, but the availability on them is scarse and at the minute is factory order, whereas the forge ones are just off the shelf, so may get the forge ones instead

is there much work involved on the fitting of them? would it take long to do by a professional, i.e awesome gti?

is the intercooler one a bumper off job and is the tip hard to get on?

Intercooler can be done from above, you can see both clips if you look, throttle body and one lower down onto the hard piping.

TIP isnt that hard, wouldnt take long for likes of Awesome GTI to do, Strut brace and air box out to access it.

ah right cool, sounds good that then

them 2 will be next then after i have paid off the brakes, cheers for the help andy

im also forced to stick to a side mount cooler as i have a winter pack with headlight washers, so a front mount would foul, so ill be looking to vent the drivers side arch someway to prevent a bit of heat soak, but im gonna attempt a different method to the people who have basically cut and shut the tt vent in place
