You should exercise a different muscle group each day, but seen as you'll only really be doing arms and chest, i'd do 3 sets of 8/10/12 (whatever feels most comfortable) every other day. Or you could just join the gym you lazy git.

you should do about 4 or 5 sets of 12 about twice a week if you can, if not just do as many as you can till you improve.

you can do a wide grip (just wider than shoulder width) with your palms facing away from you to develop lats and back muscles.

or a close grip with palms facing towards you to develop mainly bicep and some back muscles

i would do 5 sets wide grip say every monday and then 5 sets of close grip every wednesday then mix it in with what ever else your doing!!

hope this helps

Join the gym....get a personal trainer to put you through a regime, its really not that healthy doing one excercise a week. You need to balance things out! 8)

You'll soon enjoy the gym when you are settled with a regime :)

With £35 a session I can think of hundred better ways to spend your money.

Ok you got a chin up bar so what you can do is limited, you can either work the biceps or your lats and thats about it.

Invest a little more and get yourself a bench + barbell, dumbells & some weight discs and you're ready to go.

Good luck

every other day because of the fact that everytime you exercise your muscles are theoretically bleeding so they take a day to heal and each time they heal, muscle tissue increases :)

Also when you've done say 20 that you are capable of do another 5-10 even though it hurts because its those last ones that build your muscles long-term

Only to those who aren't into it...
Similar can be said to this forum, a bunch of nerds talking about car parts and how to fit them whereas on the bodybuilding forum is about what to eat to build a better body.
What ever floats your boat...

if u wanna see maximum results with not as much effort and in little time then super sets would be ideal for u. theres loads of versions of super sets but as ur equipment is fairly limited so will ur routine be. what u basically gotta do is work one muscle and then work its antagonist staright after wid no break. this means do one set of either close or wide grip pull ups and then straight after do a set of dips...(then rest).... the best exercise for dips at home is in between 2 chairs but u could always sit at the end of ur bed wid ur legs raised. try n do as many reps as poss.... and most importantly eat loads and drink a huge amount of water...
