rear bumper?

i am new to polo so dont shoot me.i am in the middle of working on my wifes polo 1.4cl 97 white.the bumper is in good nick but the lower gaurd bumper underneath it is made of metal and needs replacing can you tell me the name for it and were i can get one from?

On a CL, the rear bumper comes in two parts (unlike the 16v). It should be quite easy to pick up the bottom of the rear bumper from a scrappy.

cheers could i put a 16v bumper on if i cant get a lower bumper?

Yep. The 16v bumper is one piece, so it would replace both the upper and lower parts of the 8v bumper.

You could put a 16v bumper on, but Im presuming theyd cost more. So unless your actually going for a change in the looks of the car, you'd be better off saving money by just replacing it with the standard part. Plus 16v bumpers are harder to source than standard ones.

thanks i have bought a new one £38 delivered primed ready for me to spray so hopefully have it back on the polo next weekend.i have rattle caned panels before so might aswell have a go at this :wink:
