truly awesome bit of kit that, but I was thinking of actually having the engine under the bonnet driving the front wheels, contraversial as that is.... :?

Damn, I was hoping for "heres three build threads and a guide cos 40 peole have done it before and it works really well!

What are the common transplants into polos? Do the bigger 16v golf motors fit?

well the most obvious choice in the mk3 chassis is a g40 lump, but i'm sure there has been a mk4 1.4 16v transplant in the past aswell.
1.8 16v from a golf has been done aswell i do believe.

oh at the Oxford Edition show there was a stripped out mk2 coupe with a MK5 GTI 1.6 16v lump in the front!

1.8 t in the front has been done in germany, but looked like it needed a lot of custom body mods to fit it!
