To remove:
Put the seat fully back on the runners. Remove the allen key headed bolt and recover the nut
Then put seat fully forward on runners, and remove the end clip closest to the door side and the plastic guide on the other runner. Note this is very fragile, and can snap with little to no pressure.
Then put the seats all the way back on the runners and they will just lift out with some gentle persuasion.
Mind the grease though - its horrible stuff, and is a good way to make you need a replacement carpet fast!!

Getting car back next week hopefully after being off the road since august... if you dont know what happened then take a look at my previous posts!!
Car has been salvaged from the dead. Having spent a bit of cash on a gti conversion i wasnt going to just let the car go without a fight.
Patience has paid off. Will assess if the seat needs replacing when i get it back...
