I was thinking the same. They're getting bigger again.

the current polo is bigger than a mk2 golf, it's just the way the industry is, really.

plus cars always seem to grow on us, I didn't like the 9N at first... nor a lot of other new cars. but I do now!

I'm not so keen on the 9n but do like the more manly looking newer face Polo's (I own one, 9n3).
I like the look of this new Polo headlights & rear end but think that the rest of the front end is a little weird looking, probably grow on me, just like the new Golf did ... thought it was a bit frumpy looking. However, I think VW need to consider the market a little harder. Someone has commented that "hot hatches" from other brands are offering way more power...why is VW so conservative? If they can work magic on the new Polo like they did with the Golf, Suspension, Chassis & Steering then the competitors will have something to fear... about time!!! The newer generations of Polo (Mk4 onwards) has never been a drivers car, so it's about time VW did something about that...oh yes and another gripe of current cars of this size...small fuel tanks!!! If there was one mod I could do...that would be to increase the size of the fuel tank, lol 45 litres is pittyful.

The TSI engine is a seriously interesting piece of kit. Having driven a Golf TSI, i must say i was quite impressed at how well it picks up to say the least!!

I am not keen on this new design though (if its genuine) - its getting too smooth round the edges, and losing the design the Polo has established for decades now in my opinion.
