Changing the gearbox oil?

Hi All,

Car needs a gearbox oil change. Is it easy to do?

The haynes manual covers it slightly, but not really to the point of changing it.

Im not yet sure - a top quality fully synthetic transmission oil

Need to seek some advice!

suppost to have lifetime thingy

but i agree on changing it every so often probably every year

oh and it is pretty easy to do, ust take the plug out! and drain it

Well its been in there 7 years, and the gears arent running as smooth as they could, so i thought, hey why not change it to fully synth to help it along.

The mechanics at VW recommend doing it - prolongs the life of the gearbox!

yeh thats why i'm getting mine done with the service coming up, need to find out which oil to use though, i'm sure there was a fairly recent thread on here about it somewhere..........
