Another "Grr" moment

Cleaned the car today for the first time in like 2 months. It's the dirtiest I've probably seen it ever

What the "Grr" moments were was noticing my boot lid handle corroded again, just 3 months after it was repainted



Then this weird bubble under one of my wheels, which was just powdercoated 3 months ago





No idea how on earth that happened but I'm not happy

I'm trying to keep on top of cleaning the car at the moment, havent driven for about a week and just the dirt from the road gets kicked up at the car. Unbelievable. Go take the bootlid back to the bodyshop and complain about standard of the work, it shouldnt be bubbling after 3months

I cleaned mine 2 weeks ago and it's horrilbly dirty. I was going to clean it today but it's p*ssed down with rain all day and now it's dark.

Meh, mine hasn't been cleaned since Oxford Edition.

Judging by how quick the crap on the windscreen builds up, it really won't be worth me spending a few hours on it!

As for the handle Mouse, take it back like Max says. 3 months and it's done that already!!!

I'm with tom here! There really isn't much point to be honest! It will just look the same straight afterwards! I think the best thing to do throughout the winter, is just pressure wash it at the end of every day to get all the wet stuff! Well its always wet here so its just what gets kicked off the road that covers my car, but since it hasn't tried, i find just a quick 10 minute pressure wash will take the worst off and if you get a good day, then spend a bit longer on it! Its not going to ruin your painted! it should already be protected from the summer waxin and polishin

Anyways, mouse thats well annoying! I'd definitely take that handle back! Looks like they havent bothered to take the handle off when they sprayed it! Which would be just crazy!

The wheel however is a bit of a mind boggler! Does it look although there is water or anything under the bubble? Looks really weird!

The wheel bubble looks like a lacquer run - its rather odd to say the least!!

Its wierd how the bootlid handle corrodes like that - never had that problem on mine at all.

seriosuly mate, take that back, doesnt even look like they have done more then one coat! looks like a rattle can job!

as for the wheel, id say lacquer run!

oh and what tyre stuff is that you have used??

Can laquer run happen with powdercoating? I did apply two layers of wheel sealant.

Didn't use anything no the tyres

yeah, i assume lacquer run can happen with anything if applied to heavily, you recomend any tyre stuff then? i really like the really wet look on tyres

Powder coating is lacquered after its finished, so it must have been there since it was originally done - perhaps you didnt notice it?

i wouldnt worry that much mate, the boot handle if definately worthy of a free fix up,

and it seems like you can hardly notice the laquer run, after all you only just noticed it now?

BBS RXs in 16" i beleive I had me a set, and they really were something!
