You need a load resistor kit on it. Happened with my dads car (merc e320 :P and they are clever as clever gets!!)

so you get ultra efficient LEDs and then resistor it up to show the same current draw?

that takes the p***!

agreed, that's annoyed me! lol.

so, if I've got these LED sidelights they might not work too well regarding sensors?

9n should be fine, used to have them in my 9n3.

just the Altea has sensors up to the sky and back! it does more of the driving than me!

Hi there

My dad has a new shape Leon with the bulb warning system...unfortunately because LEDs draw less power than standard bulbs there is no way round tricking the system into thinking there is no change in bulb...so will keep tripping the system after 10 secs! Found this out as I bought my dad some LEDs for xmas, but couldn't fit them because of this. (according to the SEAT dealer)

Until LED systems come with the same trickery as HIDs you won't be able to replace ya bulbs!!!

isn't it just more wires tho, in an already cluttered area? is the kit small and compact and fit anywhere, or is it large like HID power packs (ballasts) etc? (i did check the link out)

Its just like a wire-resistor-wire. You connect it across the sidelight wires with snap on connectors, so its all nice and compact.
