After hearing a noise a few times going over the ramp to get into work I thought I'd have a look at the front of the car and check the clearance I've got, here it is It does catch from time to time. It looks like there's a bit more room than there is in the pic.
Then hearing another noise (metal on concrete) over another smaller ramp into the main car park/office bit I thouht I'd check and get a pic again.
Ha Ha, Lower I scrap my Front and Middle Box all the time, and they've done well, and got plenty left, and as said, you come to a Speed Hump, take it at an angle and you'll be able to take the car lower, Trust me
A friend off mine had his polo this low and was forever grazing his cat and exhaust so we (well i) removed his heat shield and bought some of the stick on stuff then with a bot off cutting and welding managed 2 move the exhaust about a inch and a half higher into the exhaust tunnel, so the exhaust sat higher than the floor of the car!
Never scraped again (and it dint rattle of anything ither!)
Might be worth getting one of ur tecks 2 do this for u (not that difficult)
you approach the speed bump at as much of an angle as possible so that one of your front wheel is on the bump, you then full lock the other way and try get your other front wheel to go down first. It does actually work, didn't think it would help but it does. I have to do this in front of uni since the bumps are huugee, end up holding loads of people up and everyone staring at me as snake over bumps, thinking what hell i am doing
haha, i know what you are saying, when im going into my college car park there is like a curb into the car park and i have to go really slowly over it holding up all the people getting off buses, o wel
I've just had a new scraping sound, which sounds abit like metal on metal when I turn left. It's not there all the time either, more frequent when I have passengers. Any ideas?
