hi im lowering my car in bout a weeks time when i get paid! but im stuck on how low to go?

has anyone lowered there polo 60-40 which is what im tempted to do or should i just go 40-40?

the lower the better :P can you not go for a 60-60 kit? 60mm is low enough and still practical i believe :wink:

whats the situation when it comes to speed bumps? if i go say 60-40 will speed bumps be a pain in the ass?

you will be able to get over all speedbumps easily at 60-60, used be a at 60-60 before and i could easily get over all speedbumps, it's only now that i've gone lower that I have problems withh some

although polos ain't powerful enough you do upset the geometry and handling if the fronts higher then the back. Reckon you should go low as possible so 60-60's ideal and still practical.

Its when you get past that your in trouble. I'm lowered 85mm and still creaping over every bump in central!

go see philj on club polo he has a section on the forum called jackson tuning

he does kits for the best prices you'll see online! :D

i lowrd mine 60-60

with sum weitec springs n shocks, handling was INSANE.........till i crashed


but seriously it was like driving a go-kart on speed

But I can't lower it by 60mm can I? I've got a front spoiler and I intend to get side skirts too.

All depends on your personal situation as stated above so go as low as you think you can. personal I think your car would look classier lowered mor ethen having side skirts etc attached to it.

Hmm...If I'm going for the sideskirts route, I'm definately going to lower the car aswell because I need to fill up the gaping void that is the space between my wheels are the arches. I'm just waiting to get my hands on my new rims before I decide what route I'll take.
