Bloody Electric Windows...

Can any1 help me i have a Vreg polo 6n and the electric windows have totally packed up then fell into the door i think i need a whole new window motor and runners any suggestions on where to find them.Have been to volkswagon they want a fortune for them so i walked out haha im new to all this so sorry if this is a question asked all the time...
Look forward to the forum hopefully get some pics when i get car sorted eventually havin mega problems with it just my luck hahaha

Use the search facility to find what other people suggest, helps a lot.

Try GSF, Europarts, Volkspares etc

No idea but they usually tend to have msot parts.

i got one off ebay off a company that derlivers in like two days, was about Â£50 i think for the whole mechanism.Are your windows stuck down now? That happened to mine i had to whip the doorcard off and ducttape it up.

When you say fell into the door, do you mean you fully wound them down and they won't come back up? Happened to my car recently, literally took me and a friend 15 minutes to whip out the door card, fiddle with the glass and all was fine again, hasnt slowed down or packed up once! Although with polos I doubt you'll be as lucky as I got and probably do need to get replacements. Worth a shot though?

Thanks for your help on this.New to all this car and internet tech stuff hahaha....
I wound the window down bout 4 inches then wouldnt go up and big snap and window fell into door..Can still hear motor when pressing the switch up but just crunches hahaha so looks like a new window meck doh!! plus had door off and had to put a bit of wood holding to window up happy days but looking to get it on road next week and needs mot and just spend Â£1000 on the car having a new gearbox fitted

may get rid of soon but i just like the look of the polos hahaha have the bug now to get it on road even tho its as slow as a push bike with it being diesel hopefully the engine will go then i can have excuse to get a proper one in there lol
