Gear Selector

Ive jus noticed a squeaking noise coming from the gear selector when pushed over to the left. gear selection is still perfect. I removed the leather gaiter & noticed most of the parts are lubricated. Is this a case of just lubricating the part thats squeaking?? if so, what do i use?

has this occured with anyone else?

a lubricant that contains liquid PTFE is the best thing for the job -dont use WD40!!!
