my wee polo updated 28.12.07

Hiii, I found this site while looking for mk4 polo parts on ebay.

I have a wee polo, called Solo because a) it rhymes and b) the reg is s9 olo, used to belong to milky,believe he is registered on here

The car used to be a show car, as seen here

and was featured in some magazines and won trophies. Its been around a lot since then, had a respray blue but was let go for a while more or less, had started to look a bit shabby.

i bought it in april this year. So far not done much (apart from lock the keys inside it and had to smash the drivers window to get in

) and had to rip out the boot build as when i tried to see why one of the amps wasnt working, there was a pool of water underneath it

. I've also swapped the fifteens that were on it,shown here

for these sixteens which were on it before

I think they look better,although with no power steering, I'm getting muscles

number plate frenched into the bumper..smoothed bumpers and side repeaters...

Need help with suggestions for rims! Will most likely go for 15s.

Don't look very nice in the 1st few pics although the last pic with the 16 improves it alot. Colour code te lights and grille if your keeping them and get the Reiger front bumper instead of the skirts cos trust me, it'll improve the looks 10 time smore then the skirts will.

What engine is it cos the ICE will defo slow it down and whats your plans for later?

Anyway welcome to the forum, you'll get alot of ideas, help etc from ere cos i've certainly learnt alot and moved from the max power scene cos it would'v embarassed me if come on ere with that look

Its just getting a sub box, 2 amps and a power cap fitted.

I was thinking about a reiger front bumper, all depends on how much i get quoted for a full respray.

Planning on removing the four exhausts quite soon and just getting a small oval on the left hand side. I'm not too keen on the morettes either, but not sure if black angel eyes would look any better.

The black angels would make a good difference although your cars blue so might wanna consider the clear ones too, whatever you fancy. Try photoshoping both to see how it would look.

i see it has no door handles. looks good. im glad u got rid of the thing on the front bumper, the dodgy splitter thing. and the cover on the petrol cap. i think u shoudl change the lights for angel eyes to. the car def looks better since u done stuff to it compared to when the other guy had it.

yeah its a wee one litre peter

I didn't do all the stuff to change it from the original pics, its had a few owners since then. I'm just planning on getting it back to looking good, fix up the bodywork and a respray with new alloys, then sort the inside cos its such a mess.

A new engine at a later date is a possibility, been offered a gti engine out a mk2 golf, how hard would that be to sort?

Cant believe it was a 'show car' in them first few pics! Its absolutely horrible lol!

But, give you your due, its looking better and better the more it progresses
