VW badges
You can just simply spray your old badges.
I did my tailgate badge black.
What you need:
-Halfords Wet and Dry paper - 120 Grit (i used 120 and not 1200 as someone previously recommended it)
-Halfords Primer Grey
-Halfords Gloss Black Spray Paint
Obviously you dont need to use all halfords products.
If you want you can take the silver vw badge off the backing using a screwdriver but i just opted to paint the whole thing.
Sand the badge now until the shine goes away and the badge is dull. Make sure you get all the dust from sanding off before using the primer.
Give one coat primer, wait 20-30 mins and give another coat. If you feel you need to use a 3rd coat then do that after another 20-30 minute interval ( Personally didnt do this). Leave to dry overnight.
Next day give the badge anything from 5-8 coats of gloass black paint. Intervals of 20-30 mins between each coat. Make sure you get all edges and spray evenly. Again leave to dry overnight.
Enjoy your black badges
