polo 9n3 stereo question!

hi all,
just wondering is it possilbe to fit an aftermarket stereo into the new model polo??and also will i need some sort of adaptor to fit it?it looks like it would be a difficult job as the center console doesnt look too simple!

yes, you've got a double-din sized stereo I think, and you will need a double din replacement, or a single din and a blanking plate, or a single din and a cubby space for the other din, or even 2 single dins (like a stereo and a changer for instance).

plenty of options.

depends which option you want to go for.

if you get a single DIN stereo the best bet is to buy a cubby for the bottom DIN. you can get these from VW or perhaps VAGparts.

if you get a double din (try car audio direct) then there's nothing to do except buy an adapter for your stereo to plug into the VW harness (search in this forum somewhere for a recent thread).

hey. im abit of an audio freak! so i had to change my stereo. i got one single din alpine unit fitted initially. i have now fitted in a screen too aswel!
