if it's 600rms one, like the one i'm looking at, to get the best sound out of it you need it powered by 1000rms i've been told

no a good idea lol dont give your subs more power than they need u have the chance of blowing them lol
and 1000w rms i rather alot to put throught any sub

Not if it's a RE Audio sub

I know of someone giving his RE MX18's 3000w RMS each, the XXX takes 3000w RMS to reach full excursion but is rated at 2000w RMS.

yes indeed but when your gettin into "full excursion" your going into the max power not rms
