6n2 bumper?!

can anyone tell me how different the 6n2 bumper is from the 6n as in the fitting holes where it bolts on? the rear bumper tht is seen it done before just want to kno if its worth doing?

I would imagine the rear would go on pretty easily, but i certainly cant imagine the arches lining up!

The front bumper? Well dont even go there unless you want a butchering project! They are not similar in the slightest!!!!

seen a through dutch polos with the 6n2 back bumper, looks nice when smoother and was just checking if the holes are the same

Eddie one of the Dutch members has a 6n2 front, search the member list and PM him if i was you

It's not that hard, all you need is a mk5 frontbumper, a mk4 frontbumper (upper part of 8v-bumper) and a mk4 rearbumper (upper part of 8v-rear bumper).

Cut the mk5 bumper horizontally across the lower "edge" of the bumpstrip, and "plastic-weld" this to the bottom of the mk4 upper part 8v-bumper. Use the mk4 8v-rearbumper to get the front-licenseplate smoothed, and voila, you got yourself a custom mk5 bumper on your mk4

Did this exact same routine with a m8 of mine, worked like a charme

I knew that could be done, because Ash has done it to his mk4 20vT.....i just didnt think you would have wanted the hassles of chopping up 2 bumpers etc mate

hey, Jarno while your on is there anything tht would make a wee one litre move a bit faster?
anno its a 1 litre and ppl dont see the point but am keeping it for a wee bit before i upgrade the engine, so would like to improve the performace, if possible, and well, since your the master of the dubbing scene:D any help would be appreciated, Thanks Jarno

Well, basic thing is, a 1 litre N/A is slow, and will stay slow. It can be made faster, but stuff as an induction kit will not result in noticeble performance increases. Better save that money to buy yourself a other engine, a 1.6 8v or 16v. That will be more worth it's money.

But ..... 1.0 litres don't have to be slow: VW already produced a car, the Gol (yes, not a Golf, but a Gol, which was designed for the Latin-American market, and later introduced in Asia)

Here's a Gol:

One of the "fun-factors" about this little car, was it's older GTI-edition, which had a 4-cilinder 1.0 liter 16V Turbocharged engine, producing 100BHP, how's that for a laugh?!

Search them up on YouTube, loads of Gol GTI 16v flics over there. Saw couple of them myself while I was in China, and I've got to admit, those Turbocharged ones are fast as f*ck! They don't weigh much, so you'll be surprised of it performance.

So getting a hold on one of those little engines could be fun too!
