Whats the best discs and pads to get?

Post by alexperkins »

Hi all

Well that time has come to change the discs and pads. Theyve been on the car for 24000 miles now, so they have lasted bloody well to say the least!!

What would you recommend I go for when changing them to get the best performance poss, with minimum brake dust if thats possible.

Its gonna be a this week job as they are squealing!!

Cheers Everyone :)

I've stuck with the standard discs on my car but have been using Black Diamond Predator brake pads for a couple of years now. Highly recommend them, they perform well and give off loads less brake dust than the OEM pads (important when you are running intricately-designed wheels like RMs!).

Cheers

Got black diamond combi discs with their predator pads. I think the pads are great as you get low brake dust. However, the brakes take ages to warm up to respond properly being combi's on general use. furthermore they first squeel too. I dont thikn they stop as good as i'd thought either.
