seen this mentioned a couple of times. how does it work exactly?

instead of a cable is there just a sensor which detects how far down the accelerator is pressed, which in turn adjusts the fuel flow?

Its a sensor, which controls the throttle body butterfly valve and the fuel. Quite a complicated system to describe...tho someone on here can probs do it better than me!
