Engine Juddering

When I sometimes start the car the engine makes a small juddering sound as if its about to cut out and I have to rev it to make it stop, the engine check light is on all the time now. Any ideas of what could be wrong? Cheers

take it to a garage and get them to do a vag com diagnostic, could be a number of things but vag com will narrow it right down

Not sure if it's same problem I've been having, I don't get any engine warning lights but had the same problem with engine nearly cutting out when she starts up. I needed to replace engine temperature sensor see here http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... highlight=
