VAG PARTS Update - GTI Stainless brake hoses

Post by Jeff GTi »

i got a call today saying that the kit i sent to vag parts to be forwarded on to goodridge for replecation has now been sorted and is made and in production, available to buy

the items come as a complete kit, of 2 front hoses and 2 rear hoses priced at £58, so just £29 a pair, good in my opinion for what they do and the fact they are a top brand

so i said i would pass this on to you lot, as its a great way of getting instantly better braking cheaply and more feel to the pedal

so get ordering them haha

That is brilliant stuff Jeff!
Certainly let us know again when the part numbers are available! I will definately do the hoses / fluids / pads, before going into replacing discs, calipers etc.

Good job.

Cheers,

only 9n gt's that come with the 288 mm brake setup as standard, as the smaller 256 setup uses different calipers

Rather than ring them from the other side of the world, you can get hold of them via email easily enough where they would quote you on postage. Just be aware that they often take a few days to answer emails as they are a small company and pretty busy. Very helpful though.

You may also be able to get them from their suppliers direct, but Goodridge will often only sell to the trade. Goodridge's premesis is only about 10 miles from me but I've never bought anything from them LOL (assuming they haven't moved)

Approximately how long does it take for an order to arrive from VAG parts?

2-3 days from point of order normally. Maybe even next day if the item your ordering is in stock

Thanks Jeff.

Got mine this morning. Took them a week to reply, but shipping was quick.

The item looks very well made. I am sure it will add positive feedback to the brakes. Will soon be adding new pads, and replacing fluids.

Hope that's enough for now.

:-)
