I was just thinking (and talking) about the P Slots last weekend while I was down at JBS Auto Designs...

Their new project car is sat on 4 different wheels at the moment (while they are building it) and one of them happens to be a 14" P Slot.

I commented on how cool my car would look with a set of them on... Kev said that he had a set of uber-rare 15" P Slots on his old MK1 GTi... Now they would be the business!

Hmmm. They're very 'classic' wheels though (to avoid using the word old)... Don't know if they'll look good on a modern-ish car like the Mk4. Or 5, obviously.

Someone is selling a set on eBay right now.

...

I have yet to get a quote on them, everyone I've tried so far has either not responded, or claim they're not in production anymore... Hope it works out.

The Ronal's are 7 inch wide, so the tyre will be less stretched (assuming you run the same size on both wheels). Less stretch means less tramlining, but the width of the wheel is only one of several suspects.

I think your in a win-win situation with the rims mate.

I'd buy the P-Slots, try them, and if you don't like em, sell em on. Because of how rare they are, you shouldn't lose much money, and you'll know if they suit the car or not.
I personally feel that the Ronals are the new Venoms of the VW scene. (that should upset people  )
The do look fantastic, espcially on smaller dubs, but they've lost there rarity now.

just think, if you pass on this chance at getting some P-Slots, you'll be asking 'what if' forever!

2K... I'll be sending the shrink bills to your address, ok?

Bloody bears... who in their right mind would buy them?

I'll never forget seeing a set of bears in Gilders Sheffield, on offer... hahaha, you couldn't give them away, surely?!?

haha, a polo harlequin running on bears would be best!

The bears are disgusting indeed.

Anyway, I'm picking up the Ronals today. Hope they're in decent shape.

I wouldn't say they're the Venoms of the VW scene just yet though...

Haven't seen them in person- ever, let alone on a Mk4 Polo. So far, I've seen pics on Mk3 Golfs, Mk4's (three different cars, all from Germany) and once on a Mk5- Tas' Black GTI. That's it. Hope it stays like that more or less :D

First show is next week (Sunday) - just in time I hope.

Well, it's a nice thought to have a purrdy car on GTG's, and since the season opener is next Sunday I wanted to have the wheels before then.

I'm not on a stand or anything, I've no affiliation with a club yet, and I never visit any Dutch forums. So perhaps after this show I'll hook up with a club or forum to get it on a stand fo the next show.

Let the season begin!

:D

Speedlaw

It would be SO cool if you could make it over for GTi International.

I know it's a long way, and would cost a fortune...

Go see the Bank Manager!
