First Snow Casualty?

Post by Gti_Lew »

Had an oh no moment about 10 minutes ago :(

turning into my street, at about 5mph (glad i took it at this speed) as i got into my street i went to straighten up and the car decided to go in search of a bush, in front of which was a lampost, i thought oh no here we go, new car, just my luck, but the little soldier just bumped off the kerb thankfully, just a small scratch on the lip of the wheel, phew!

be careful out there!

thanks for comments guys, sorry gti_lew for taking over your post man

the taxi driver couldnt go anyway cos his front end was stoved in and probably wrote off his car too!

hopefully the insurance will write it off and then i can get another one, or something else... but a white polo dropped on its ass sounds tempting lol

jeff if i do sell then yeh thats totally fine, youve got first refusal - but ill let ya know chief.

doesnt really show the extent of the damage, but as you can see the offside wing is creased, nearside is creased, roof is buckled, boot floor is no more, nearside alloy is scratched to hell...

yeh ill let you off if its written off mate no worries

Unless the roof is creased mate, I would guess they could probably repair that. Because its a GTI it obviously the most expensive model, so for the insurance company it'll probably better financially.

Did this to mine over a year ago and this was repaired
