Gutted thats happened to your car! If your insurance company is to repair it make sure you insist its repaired by a vw dealer and not an insurance 'approved' bodyshop. Its your right to get it repaired where you want

Unless the roof is creased mate, I would guess they could probably repair that. Because its a GTI it obviously the most expensive model, so for the insurance company it'll probably better financially.

Did this to mine over a year ago and this was repaired
foookin ell thats taken a shunt too hasnt it

only thing with mine is its rippled the roof, the near side wing, boot floor, wheel well and pushed the rear seats forwards so the parcel shelf doesnt even fit in now, also bent the side sill on the nearside when its struck the front of my house when it was forced forward.

gonna try my best go get it written off anyway cos i wont be able to drive it around like i did before without being scared to death lol

Definitely insist VW do the repairs then - It'd cost a fortune from a dealer!!
