06 Polo Switched Live

Post by brylhal »

Hi,

I have just installed a Nokia Hands free kit to a 06 Polo 9n3, The factory radio is CAN Bus and does not have a swiched live to the H.Unit Wireing loom.

I have taken a look at the Fuse Box and idenfied a Possble switched live. this is the fuse for the A/C, it also has a mobile phone logo on it.

Can anyone confirm if this is in fact a swtiched live? Any other suggestions as to where to get a swithed live from would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Chris

If the diagnostic socket is under the drivers side of the dash then there is one there. It should be a wire by itself.

OK there is the ODB2 socket there. Is this wire attached to the socket or is it attached to somehing else? Any idea what colour the wire is?

Thanks for you help

Personally I'd take the power from a fuse, and not splice anything.

Isn't it just a question of testing the circuit to verify that it's switched live? I think I have a switched live running off the windscreen washer pump fuse, not sure though.

I use these babies for my wiring
