who doesnt? i do it sometimes but usually i know karma so i know theyre gonna redo it to me. its best when they got people in theyre car cause then they look good untill u over take them then they must feel pretty small especially if theyre showing of infront of theyre gf or some girls.

near where i live theres a small dual carriageway, only about 200 yards long but there was a fair few cars driving down there and then these 2 guys in seperate cars came, undertook me then weaved in and out the cars and went of towards farnborough gate direction (farnborough). its times like that u wish a policeman was abotu or u were one in a plain car just so u could pull them over and teach them infront of everyone and make them look smaller then an ant. but i had my gf in the car with me and we both said wat was the point in that?..... the worse thing is if they have someone in the car and they have a crash due to stupidity then that'll be even worse....... im sure everyone has seen stories int he papers and tv abotu young people driving stupidly and span of the road or something and they were going like 20 or 30 mph OVER the limit.....

i, as im sure most of u do, drive more rational when i have passengers in my car as its not just my life in my hands but other people.......... so if u drive stupidly and have an accident with passengers in your car and they get injured........... how would u feel..........or if someone u know was in a car accident due to wreckless driving by someone, how would that make u feel for your friend or gf or bf or towards the person who caused the accident?????

AGREED!!! to be honest if its a queue like traffic and someone thinks theyre gonna speed down one side and cut in think again.... when i see people trying to do it to me i purposely pull closer to the car infront and dont make eye contact as i know its annoying him. yes they might beep but if u dont make eye contact then it annoys them even more......... after all its mostly people with big cars worth alot more then mine so its up to them if they wanna hit me and fork out the money for theyre stupidity and be late for theyre probably oh so important meeting which they know they should of left 10 mins earlyer so they dont have to rush as they would of prob done the journey hundreds of times.

very difficult not to rise to the bait and I know what you mean. I do a lot of overtaking on a day to day basis because it's in my nature when I'm stuck behind dawdlers, and I travel on A and B roads to work and back. I still end up with 55mpg because when I can't overtake I leave a nice big gap and coast up to junctions and so on.

I never take a chance but you get a lot of people who say "but I end up behind <overtking person> at the next lights" which annoys me.

Yes, 60% of the time they'll end up behind me at the lights, but 40% of the time you actually have a decent drive to work ;) I've been on many journeys where I've regretted not overtaking because 2 minutes down the road you hit red lights, or a bus pulls out in front of you, or a tractor!

there's no excuse for endangering other people though.

When it comes to queues and when time is short I turn into a mad man. I don't drive like one but I'll be cursing and swearing at all the blatant queue jumpers whilst I wait patiently (yet impatiently lol) in the correct lane!

Hey mouse it was me!!

ONLY JOKING!!!

Fair enough we all open our cars up every now and again, otherwise what is the point in owning a Gti? Obviously sticking to the speed limits of course

End of the day it's not worth risking my licence for some pr*ck trying to show off to his mates..I'd rather just let him go and total his car on the next bend.

Hmmm....i'm guilty of que jumping! i can never be arsed with traffic so usually take the easy way out! Never do it dangerously, i'm just a sly bugger :P

Anyways, i am usually quite bad for rising to the bait.....bait usually only if its a decent motor i am having a blast against! And aslong as its safe to do so!!! would never do it on a busy commercial road etc etc That kinda driving is for mugs!!! :x

Defo. When I blasted past him there were no other cars and open road. The time before and after, i.e. the time he was driving like a tosser, there was heaps of traffic about

there's certainly no point racing a fellow GTI. it is however nice to 'suprise' people now and again. eg business men in their rep mobiles. people dont appreciate the Polo GTI, probably because they are rather rare and you dont seem them often.
