anyway my front 2 tyres were practically bald so i had to get them changed which was okay just money. then i also had to get my tracking done since i have had my coilovers put on.
They then started doing this and told me i need my camber/caster doing and also they couldnt track becuase they think the steering rack is nakered. the bolt or whatever they do to track it was just spinning even after they had heated it up and stuff.
Anyone know if this sounds right? I know the guy from garage so he isnt likely to lie to me???
nono this is a different place. need this camber/caster doing anyway as my tyres are getting balder and balder, and when i have your wheels dont want tyres going every month lol
my dad is going to have a look at the steering rack hopefully at the weekend becuase he is off. he used to be a mechanic so he should know....hopefully
same as what happened to my car with coilovers on, had to have the camber adjusted.
but recently i had to take my coilovers off because they were not practical enough......1) after 2 years they corroded and pee'd oil everywhere 2) i'd go through tyres like every 8 months! 3) it put too much stress on the driveshaft being at -75mm
so i really wanted to keep the car that bit longer so i took em off as coilovers only ever seem to knacker cars out over prolonged periods of time! (and cause alot of stress and expense to go along with it!, ok if you have stacks of cash)
Thats a faulty temp sender - cheap and quick to replace. Can get them from any GSF, euro or VW dealer. Ill scan the page on how to change it out of the haynes
