Alternative heated seats?

Post by Mouse_GTI »

Whilst I love the leathers in my GTI, they aren't the best when your blasting it around corners. Are there any other OEM seats from other cars with better support, and heated that could be reconnected easily?

You can make anything fit with a little bit of effort. The best alternatives are the RS4/S3 Recaros or go for the TTs

Yeh mouse the RS4 S3 recaros would be amazing, but certainly not cheap!!

You've sat in my TT's, you know what they are like! Not hard to hook up the heater controls!

Would maybe swap you your GTI leathes for the TT's....but still need rears :P

seats from a polo colour concept are perfect. But good luck finding them as the car on its own is difficult to find let alone the seats

I'm not in a hurry for them, it's definately a future mod. Do the colour concept seats have bigger side bolsters?

If you like the seats and it is just the bolsters that are the issue, you are better off spending money on having the bolsters extended/reshaped to your requirements than looking for other seats.

That's a good idea. Never knew it could actually be done

Yes it can be done, I have no idea on price though. I sat in these seats in Gary Handa's golf, and although the car was stationery, the extra bolsters made quite a difference.
