Hi everyone,
Need some advises from you all again.... My 6N has some engine starting problem... Everytime when I start the car first time in the morning, engine always cut off. I always have to give it some gas in order to start the car.. I think it feels like it has not got enough rev in order to keep the engine running... After that while I am driving round town, when I change from higher gear into lower gear, the engine got cut off again!! Can anyone tell me whats wrong with it?? Do I have to replace something?? Cheers
Many thanks for ur help and support in advance...
Samuel
Problem with my 6N 1.4 16v....

I was trying to figure it out where this yellow clip is while I opened the bonnet, but still could not find it... sorry for being useless, as I am not very good on the mechanical side... Can u be a bit more specific and tell me where they are?? Is it on the right next to the engine of the bottom right corner? Sorry for asking too much again... Many thanks for your help and support...
Kind regards,
Samuel

i am more than happy to help bud
theres a time were we all no nothing about cars
open your bonnet
and look to the right hand side of the engine block obove the gearbox
and between teh engine and the block
you will see coming out of the block a waterway
its a big pipe that goes to the radiator from what i remember
its got 2 holes on it only 2 inchs from the block one will have the sender in it with the wire plugged into it
and the other will be a blank (usually on 6n)
unplug the plug u do this by squeezin the wire and pull
now you should see a big yellow click almost like a plastic sirclip
you pull that out towards the inside of the car
but you will need the new one before you start this as you need to do a very fast swap as all the water will gush out
some people go to the trouble of draining the fluid
i wouldnt bother unless it needed changing
just be quik and youll only have a little slash
do u want a picture of the sender i will do some pics of removal i still have my old engine in the workshop till the weekend
let me know
heres one on a 20vt engine but they are in the same place this isnt a good pic as theres alot more going on with this engine
just thought your click might b black not yellow
