It works !

Post by hardhitter »

I have finally got my recent project running today. The green GT, to be used as a runaround, finally kicked into life after getting all the wiring sorted and a few mishaps.
It runs really nice and I just changed the oil before coming home earlier.

Tomorrow will see the front brakes, a strut and interior being sorted out.

Hopefully I will be back on the road very soon, cant wait :D

Pics to follow....

Cheers, I was very pleased to hear it running.

I've got to swap the drivers side front strut for a spare beacause the wheel bearing has gone.

I will be bringing with me to the meetup on the 29th.

:D

Good luck with finishing sorting it out mate!

Shame me G died so I couldn't come and help ya out. Did you put a G40 exhaust manifold and downpipe on it in the end? Think I'm gonna have to do that when I stick the temporary GT engine in my car. Will mean I don't have to buy another exhaust, seeing as I can't fit the CL one since I sliced the downpipe up...

I thought the drivers side strut was knackered, the hub or bearing. After swapping it over for a spare strut, it seems like the track control arm has actually gone. Plus both front shock absorbers are shot, so it looks like I'm buying some more bits tomorrow.

I haven't got a G40 manifold and downpipe yet, hopefully getting one soon. The exhaust thats on keeps blowing and needs replacing.

Fitted the interior today so it looks more like a car, not a shell. It's coming together slowly, but surely.
