ok. ive got an old skool blaupunkt tape player in my car, which i plan on replacing at some point. if i get a new blaupunkt headunit, would the removal keys supplied work on the old one?

It very much depends on the radio. Removal keys are available at most car garages, audio specialists and Halfords anyhow :)
