Post by polo-sib »

Can anyone do me a favor and take a picture of there fuse box, as I got a few fuses missing in mine and not sure what fuses would be appropriate.

The little diagram on the fuse box shows an engine symbol so I imagine its an important fuse. Everything seems to work normal, but I dont seem to be gettin as much power out of it as I should.

I've changed:
Starter Motor
HT Cables
Rotor Arm
Distributor Cap
Oil Filter
Oil
Air Filter
Cleaned throttle body
Filled up with Shell V-Power

Yet I've not gotten any power back into the car compared to other standard 1.0i L polo's.

can you take a picture of the symbol? I can't imagine a fuse would solve your problem - and remember there are 2 types of mk4 1.0 engine with different power output.

looks like the first symbol on the 2nd row:

The engine thingy with an electric symbol (R1) , theres like 3 of them in a row in the fuse box in one bit and two are missing from what I remember, everything else seems to have fuses.

I got the injection model which is ment to be powered around 70BHP.

I'll have a think?

do you have a 1.0L or were you saying it's slower than a 1.0L? because both 1.0L engines were either 45bhp or 50bhp.

The missing fuse could be for absolutely anything mate, probably just an extra that your car doesn't have. Sounds like your problem is bigger than a missing fuse.

I'm sure someone on here with the same car can confirm though.
