whining noise sounds like driveshaft or something! HELP!!!!!

Post by htid-gordy »

while accelerating through the gears the car has a faint whining noise. the noise is not in time with the sound of the engine but sounds like it increases as the car gets faster. does anyone know what this is? thanks for your help.

Sounds like your gearbox bearings are on their way out. Or it could perhaps be a wheel bearing. Get it checked asap.

might also be worth changing your gearbox oil if you can - or at the next service.
