i have a little R plate 1.4 that i have a few plans for, so a few quick questions!!
so here we go!
what pdc, offset and centre bore are polo wheels of that age? and similarly does anyone know the same info for the lupo?
also can i fit 2000 onwards age rear clusters to mine, and is it a lot of work or just plug and play?
can i get rid of the orange front indiactor units aswell?are there clear o/e look replacements available
side repeaters, wheres the best place to get some o/e style and shape ones but either clear or smoked?
cheers
Ben

If so there is a step by step guide, i think it was switching two wire's and sanding down a coner?
Yup,i think you can pick them up from any where really.not to sure on act shops though as mine came with them from the previous owner.Coops wrote: can i get rid of the orange front indiactor units aswell?are there clear o/e look replacements available

those can be peeled off, as can the side rubbing strips.Coops wrote:yeah cheers fellas, that site looks good and i've had a nosey round ebay for the bits i want. after a debadged grill aswell, ebay again or ones off there bit ropey?
also can the rear 'polo' and '1.4' badges simply be peeled off, or are there locating lugs that go into the metal of the bootlid?
however, you will want to heat them up with a hair-dryer first ideally. or wait for a very warm day. the glue can be removed with white spirit / t-cut / petrol but wash it off afterwards!
Glue from badges and strips come off very easily with methanol spirit I found although the other methods work too.
Although strips have their job, you can change the look quite a bit by simply removing them. Basically it smoothes off the side on a 6n gicing a simpler curvy look.
I don't remove the rear wiper for the very same reason Josh mentioned, can't see **** if did!!!
