Tonight the fuel price in South Africa is going up again......

Official Price Change

South Africa Controlled Product Price Change

The Department of Minerals and Energy has announced the following price change for PETROL , DIESEL:

Effective Date : Wednesday 5 March 2008

95 (Inland)
61.00c/l increase
New price 825.00

93 ULP & 93LRP
61.00c/l increas
New price 811.00

Diesel 0.05%
78.00c/l increase
810.30

Diesel 0.005%
78.00 c/l increase
813.70


· Price change valid throughout RSA for RETAIL and COMMERCIAL customers

· Petrol List and Pump prices above refer to Retail customers

· Price change due to movements in crude and international product prices coupled with the prevailing (favourable) RAND – US dollar exchange rates

· Petrol price change refer to 93 and 95 octane

· Diesel List prices refer to 0.05% and 0.005% sulphur specification

· Diesel price change also valid for other diesel based products like Low Emission Diesel, SATS Loco Fuel etc.


50 litres of 95 octane will be ZA Rand - R412.50 / GB Pound 27.26.

Stop f*****g complaining. 50 litres of 95 octane would cost £50+ in this country

This UK site is the wrong place to complain about petrol prices.

I'd be complaining that you can't get above 95 RON. HAHAhahaha!

yer, not the right place to be complaining about them prices as they are about 20 quid per 50 litres cheaper than here :)

is a GTI about 6k new out there?

i would be more bothered also about not being able to run my gti on the 99 ron Shell V-Power i always have done

costs me £54 to tank my little dub now, was only £46 when i first got it, bloody inflation, but that still only lasts the same 250 - 280 miles haha, but god its a great 250 - 280 miles haha

when your fuel prices hits 113.9 (GB£) a litre, then ill feel for you

I'm having an easy driving tank in the TDI, I want to get above the magic 500! Filling it up usually costs about £40-£45
