It's a pre-alignment model hence the manual AC and the all red GTI badges. Very good price with the leather!

It was the really early model of the GTi,

Not sure exactly what differences it had, apart from the obvious red badges, non-standard climatronic unit. I think possibly a different engine code and tax classification? (someone wil ahve to confirm the last two.)

No, it doesn't have similar features to the mark 4 like the 6N2 saloon, it's a mark5 GTi with a few twists

Basically the standard spec hasn't been defined really, hence you don't have climate. But some are lucky and get nice seatbelts, plus the all red badges are actually quite sought after

Remember there are 3 different ones - all black, all red, and black with a red stripe either side

Yeh, not 100% sure which one comes where though. I've got the red ones, in which situation du get the black with red stripe ones?
