Interior grab handles - what have you done ?

Post by sorted »

AS the title says, has anyone painted them red / black / green / purple ? Or is everyone just replacing them every few months when they get horrible looking?

sanded them down with some wet and dry, got rid of all the flakey bits, and used some satin black paint from homebase.

they are holding up well, they don't flake or anything and just look oem, no one notices them.

I've replaced mine, they should last a good few years at least.

Mine are still mint, I've had the car 2 years.

One of the inserts in the grab handles has been replaced but that's because I snapped it in half

I considered painting mine, but will be just putting two standard new ones in. I too snapped one of the inserts (driver's side) after failing to prise it off carefully  but they are only a couple of quid from the dealer to replace.

Yeh I'm pretty sure vagparts do a whole front set (2 inserts and 2 handles) for a decent price!

I think you'd have to paint them after stripping them,

£30?! I paid less for that when I bought All mine individually.
