h.i.d's in a gti
8000k arnt actually 'brighter' than the standard oem hid bulbs. the 'k' rating of these bulbs relates to the colour temperature, not brightness. the lower end (4000k-5000k) being the closest to white light, then rising up to bluer light (6000k-8000k) and then getting purple (10000k-12000k). so actually the higher the 'k' rating, the more colour you have which actually means they will be less 'bright' than the lower 'k' rating bulbs which give off a whiter (brighter) light.Bepe wrote:yeah but mouse, i have some 8k hid's i was just wanting to change them onto the gti (as the 8k are obviously brighter then the normal gti xenons)
i got a pair of decent philips hid bulbs for £45 from a seller on e-bay (there is a whole thread on here somewhere that i started last year about hid bulbs/headlights)
