Rain Grrrr

Post by charlievwp »

Has anyone fitted rain deflectors or had experience of them?

How do they look?

Fed up of the water pouring in through my window if I have it even slightly open (i'm a naughty smoker  ) so was thinking of getting them but worried they'll look a bit cr*p!

Now that its got to that time of the year, it's beginning to bug me.

I assume they'd look better/more discreet on a black car?

Any opinions please! Thanks guys n gals x

I have the same problem - I'm a smoker too. I really hate the way the rain/wind deflectors look so have to get a bit wet............ or wear rubber

They do look pants then? :(
Thought about getting them before but the weather cleared up and I got the idea out of my head
- but now i'm beginning to remember how annoying I found it last time! :x
It really is the only hang-up i've got with the car.
All seems to be going so well until I swing a left and it's like half a bucket of water pours down the inside of my door!!
(possibly a slight exaggeration there  - maybe more like a cup!)

Anyone else have any opinions?

Is it a mod that can be fitted and removed easily through seasons?

Well, I got them through the post a couple of days ago and got them put on. Really relieved, they don't look too bad at all and sooo easy to install.
Paid just £11 plus postage from Germany and they arrived within 3 days.

I'd heard from others that wind noise could be a problem but tbh, I haven't even noticed.
If there is, then its marginal. I have music on when I drive anyway!

After days on end of downpours and snow, it hasn't actually rained since I put them on. 8)

(Maybe thats what they're really about....special powers to stop rain completely!!) :D

hmmm i may have to get me some of these as my car has a fair amount of wind noise anyway with the windows shut so shouldn't make much difference
when i pull off my driveway backwards after a night of rain, when i have the window open to see where i'm going, i get soaked

how long did yours take to come through Charlie?

They took 3 days to come through after I paid, which I thought from Germany was pretty good.

Here is the link to the guys eBay shop...he does loads for all different cars.
HEKO (filtered down to Polo's)

I waited until he put a set on with a 'best offer', and he accepted £11. :D

It still hasn't rained so i'm contemplating cleaning the car...what's the betting that'll start it off! :x
