I have piston slap... thats what my knocking is. Any one else get it, i have heard a few polos with piston slap now, its a worn/cracked skirt, makings a heavy knocking noise.
I have done 15k miles with it and only now is it getting seriously loud!
Its an AEX 1.4L engine btw. Was it a common fault with these? cheers.
