Removing exhaust manifold cover, any problems?

Hello,

I recently removed the manifold cover to check the manifold's integrity, but now i like how the engine looks without the cover.

Are there any problems running without the cover?

Also, has anyone done the exhaust system like this: Manifold>>pipe>>backbox ?
